Why airbrush tanning compared to sunbathing?

Sunshine is a wonderful thing, however sunbathing, including outdoor and tanning beds, can be dangerous and unhealthy. It is a proven fact that UV rays cause skin cancer, wrinkles, and premature aging. Spray tanning can give you the wonderful look of the sun without the dangers and long term damage of UV rays. With the advancement in science, spray tans have come a long way from that telltale, unattractive orange color!

What kind of product/system do you use?

Bronzique uses a special tanning formula by Fantasy Tan. Fantasy Tan was the first company to create and develop the concept for using an airbrush system to apply a sunless tanning spray that produces a safe and healthy looking tan. Fantasy Tan is also used by the talent of the hit show, Dancing with the Stars.

How does spray tanning work?

Once the customized tanning formula is airbrushed onto your body, the amino acids in your skin will respond naturally to the DHA and other complementary ingredients in the tanning formula to produce the most beautiful sunless tan you've ever seen. Airbrush tanning eliminates all of the mess and problems associated with tanning creams and spray tanning booths. There is no streaky mess, orange palms, or dirty looking knees and elbows. How long should my tan last?

The average result is 5 to 10 days of color. Factors such as skin type, activities, and maintenance can cause your results to vary. However, the longer and more regularly a client tans, the better the tanning effect will wear. To extend the length of your tan, air dry or pat your body down lightly after showering or swimming. In addition, Fantasy Tan Products, such as, Hydrating Daily Moisturizer, Body Scrub, Mild Cleansing Body Wash, Tan Extender, and Personal Bronzer, will help keep your tan last longer.
 
Is it safe?

Yes. The main ingredient in our sunless tanning product is known as dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA is 95% organic and a simple non-toxic sugar. It is often derived from the plant sources, such as sugar beets, sugar cane, and walnuts. DHA is FDA approved. Unfortunately, if you are allergic to nuts, this sunless tan is not right for you.
 
How long does a tanning session take?

On average, a full body session can take 15 to 20 minutes.
 
How can I maintain a great color all year 'round?

It is recommended that you spray tan once a week or every other week, in order to maintain your tan. Once your tan has faded and you have exfoliated, it is ok to start the preparation and treatment all over again. Again, the more regularly a client tans, the longer the tan will last.
 
How will my tan fade?

The way the tan fades is dependent on the way each person naturally exfoliates his/her skin.In most cases, the first place your tan starts to fade is between the chest, so don't worry this is normal and very subtle.

What do I wear to my tanning appointment?

Wear dark loose fitting clothes to feel the most comfortable, however, from personal experience, it doesn't make a difference. The product is very light and dries quickly.

What do I wear while I'm being sprayed?

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in, for example: thong, bra & panties, boxers, underwear, or swimsuit. We do not use cosmetic bronzer, therefore, the solution will not stain your clothes (except for satin).

Can I tan when I'm pregnant?

There are no known side effects from the application of Fantasy Tan. As a precaution, if you are pregnant you should always consult with your physician or other qualified health care provider before receiving a spray tan or any beauty or skin care application.
